Ali & Pete
Sunday 1st December 2019
A wonderful winter’s day full of warmth, twinkling lights and plenty of magical moments.
“When myself and Pete came to look around Trevenna, we were instantly blown away. It was a windy, cold and damp day, but this didn’t matter.
The views were breathtaking and we instantly fell in love.
We knew we wanted a winter wedding, and seeing the venue on such a cold winters day made us realise that it would be simply perfect, what ever the weather. In addition, Jonathan made me feel like I was the only woman in the world getting married on that day he showed us around. He could see our vision and bought aspects of the venue to life before of our very eyes, and that’s when we knew, this was where we had to say, I do”

Why a Winter Wedding?
“A winter wedding was always on the cards for us. For me, it was the “no weather expectations” – come wind rain snow or sunshine, we knew it would create the right mood for the day.
We knew last light would be very early in December so the vision was to create warmth through copious fairy lights, down lighting, lamps , candles and foliage. We wanted to bring nature inside and to create a winter woodland wonderland. We felt that Trevenna was the perfect backdrop for our wonderland and it simply didn’t disappoint.”

Tips for Future Brides
” My tips for future brides would be to create a board of ideas on something like Pinterest and if you see something you want for your wedding, get it whilst you see it. We stored stuff from almost 2 years that we knew would work well.
If you have a vision and not sure if it will work or how it will pan out on the day, speak to the team at Trevenna. There was no question too big or too small and they really did help to create our visions for the big day with us.
And enjoy it- all the planning, all that time spent on attention to details really was worth it. The day was everything we had ever dreamed of and both myself and my husband and all our guests has the most magical of days”
