Gathering your family and friends together to stay at Trevenna creates a wonderful away from it all holiday feeling with your Wedding in the middle.
How many Guests can stay at Trevenna?
Trevenna has 40 beds for 40 people (including the couple).
Trevenna’s on-site accommodation is located within our beautifully converted Barns and Farm House, around the yard near to the Garden Venue.
Couples are responsible for the allocation of guests to specific beds.

A homemade Welcome Treat, Tea & Coffee, and fresh milk is provided for all guests staying at Trevenna.
How much would you recommend charging resident guests?
You may choose to ask your guests for a contribution towards their rooms and meals served in the Farm House.
The amount of guest contribution is set at your own discretion.
As a guide, Couples normally charge around £60 per Guest per night to include accommodation and meals served in the Farm House. A guest contribution of £60 per guest per night would generate around £2,280 for 1-night stays or £4,560 for 2-night stays (based on 38 Guests, i.e. excluding the Newly Weds).
Guests must pay their contribution towards the Barns and meals served in the Farm House direct to their couple. Trevenna is unable to take payments direct from individual Guests as Trevenna is booked on an exclusive use basis (rather than by room).
What time is Check In and Check Out for Guests?
Check In for Guests staying at Trevenna is from 4pm on the Arrival Day.
Check Out for Guests staying at Trevenna is by 11am on Departure Day.

Where does the Bride normally get ready?
Most brides choose to get ready in the Threshing Bedroom 4.
Threshing Bedroom 4 has a balcony with views over the gardens and Arbour, and the chance of discretely spotting guests arriving for the ceremony.
This bedroom is buzzing with joy and laughter during the morning before the wedding as the Bridal Party enjoy preparing for the big day, with floor to ceiling mirrors, lots of lovely natural light and a long wooden bench with huge mirror and lights, … perfect for hair and makeup.
Bridal Breakfast is usually served beside the beautiful glass staircase next to the fireplace.
However, sometimes Brides arrange to get ready in another Barn (where we then have special plans to get the bride to the ceremony without being seen!).
Is Guest Wi-Fi available?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available for you and your Guests. (However, do not over rely on the wifi signal to live stream video or music).
Is Trevenna suitable for Guests who require special access?
Yes, the Threshing Barn & Garden Venue for your Ceremony, Wedding Feast and Evening Celebrations are all on one ground level with access to the gardens, car park and paths. The Garden Venue has disabled toilets.
Stable Barn is recommended for any resident guests who require special access. There is a designated Car Park directly in front with level access to the Stable. The doorways to the two double bedrooms and shared bathroom are much wider for ease of access.
Are travel cots or highchairs available for children?
Yes, we have 3 travel cots and plenty of highchairs available for your younger Guests who are staying at Trevenna. Please note, Cot Bedding must be provided by parents.
Parents may also bring their own travel cot if they wish.
Can we add an extra night of accommodation at Trevenna?
Trevenna is available for One, Two or Three Nights Inclusive Hire.
Can dogs stay at Trevenna?
Yes, we love dogs and dogs love Trevenna! With our wonderful open spaces and country lanes for morning walks, it’s the perfect place for dogs to run off energy after a long car journey.
Dogs are welcome in the Wagon House, the Stable and the Shippon barns. (The rest of the Barns and Farm House are not suitable for dogs).
We charge £30 for each Barn where dogs are staying. This charge covers the necessary deep cleaning of the barn interior (even after small well behaved dogs!). We will add this onto your Final Balance so the dog tariff should be paid direct to the Couple if your Guests are bringing their dog.
There is a Dog Bin located on the side of the Log Store in front of the Barns by the Turning Circle. A £25 charge will be deducted from the Couple’s Cautionary Deposit should any clearing up be necessary.
The excitement of the big day continues to build as additional Day & Evening Guests arrive at Trevenna to celebrate your wedding day.
How many guests can attend our Wedding Day?
We recommend a maximum of 120 Day Guests including the couple.
Additional Day Guests above the 40 Adult Guests included in the Inclusive Hire Offer are charged as follows;
- Adults @ £70 per Guest
- 11-17 years @ £25 per Guest
- 6-11 years @ £15 per Guest
- Under 5 years @ No fee
How many guests can attend our Evening Celebrations?
We recommend a maximum total of 150 guests for Evening Celebrations including the couple.
Guests attending the Evening celebrations only are charged at £10 per Guest.

What time do Day Guests arrive at Trevenna?
Day Guests are kindly requested to arrive from 1 hour before your Ceremony at Trevenna.
The Farm House bar will open 1 hour before your Ceremony for your Guests to enjoy pre-Ceremony drinks as the excitement builds…
What time do Evening Guests arrive at Trevenna?
We normally recommend for Evening Guests to arrive after Speeches & Toasts.
It is lovely where Evening Guests have an opportunity to say “Congratulations!” and grab a drink before the Cake Cutting and your First Dance!
Where do guests park?
There is free Guest parking available in our large Top Yard car park.
As you drive down the lane to Trevenna, turn immediately right and the Car Park will be to your right.
Can Cars be left over night in the Car Park?
Yes, guests may leave their cars in the Car Park over night when they get a taxi back to their accommodation.
Cars should be collected by 11am on the Departure Day.
Where can we order taxis from?
Trevenna is located within the countryside so all taxis must be pre-booked a week before.
We recommend sending out the Taxi List in your Invite Information, and advise all guests to pre-book taxis.
Trevenna is a blank canvas ready to be styled as you wish for your wedding celebrations. Creating your own unique style is easy with our neutral spaces.
When can we start Decorating?
Couples arrive at 2pm on their Welcome Day for a chat with their designated Wedding Host.
Your Wedding Feast tables and chairs will be set out and ready for you to decorate straight after your Welcome Chat.
Resident guests are politely requested to arrive after 4pm. The Barns will not be ready for Check In until 4pm.
There is plenty of time for decorating in the afternoon. Aim to get your decorating completed so you may relax with your guests during your Welcome Dinner in the Farm House at around 7pm.
1-night Wedding celebrations – We would ask you to come to Trevenna around 1 week before your wedding date for a Welcome Chat with your Wedding Host, where you can deliver any decorations and advise how you would like these to be set up for you in the morning of your wedding before you arrive.
Can we have Candles?
Candles look beautiful here at Trevenna.
All candles and tea lights must be held in suitable holders where the holder is taller than the flame to minimise fire risk.
Please note, we are not permitted to allow candles with naked flames to burn, such as candles in candelabras and candles in bottles.
Can we use Confetti?
Yes, we love a confetti moment provided it is bio-degradable confetti.
Please do not bring Confetti cannons/bombs which are full of plastic/metal confetti. These small bits harm the wild birds and animals living at Trevenna.
Do you provide table Cloths and Napkins?
Yes, Trevenna supplies white table linen including tablecloths and napkins.
Napkins will be folded into squares and laid on each place setting, unless you notify us that you would like to collect, roll and decorate the napkins either before you arrive or during the evening of your Arrival Day or bring your own!
Do you have an Easel we could use for our Seating Plan?
Yes, Trevenna has two easels that you are free to use should you wish.
Alternatively, a light weight table plan could be hung from the side of the Garden Venue or placed on the Gift Table.
Can we have Sparklers?
Sparklers produce great photos of the Newly Weds and your happy Guests!
Please let us know if you intend to bring Sparklers as this will be added to your Order of Stay.
The Hosting Team will organise the Sparkler Moment to ensure the safety of you and your Guests.
Sparklers may only be used outside. Trevenna provides a sand bucket for safe disposal of Sparklers.
When do we take down our decorations?
As your celebrations come to a close on the Wedding Day, the Trevenna Team will close down the Garden Venue. All table decorations, favours, table plans, name cards etc., (as well as any left property) will be moved to one table for collection the following morning.
We kindly ask that all other decorations are taken down and removed by 11am on the Departure Day to allow cleaning to take place.
Trevenna cannot accept any responsibility for any decorations or equipment left behind. Any waste items may be left at Trevenna for recycling.
Saying your vows in front of your family and friends is a wonderful moment and provides the meaning to your celebrations.

What time do you recommend for the Ceremony?
For 2-night and 3-night wedding celebrations, we can be flexible with the Ceremony time. However from our experience, a Ceremony between 1-2pm works well, so you may decide to choose from 1pm, 1.30pm or 2pm.
For 1-night wedding celebrations, you may arrive at Trevenna from 1pm on the day of your Wedding Day. Therefore, a Ceremony time of 3pm is recommended so you have time before your Ceremony for photos of you getting ready before your Guests arrive at 2pm for drinks in the Farm House Bar.
Who conducts the Ceremony?
Cornwall Registration Service conducts all legal ceremonies at Trevenna (Civil Marriages & Civil Partnerships). A ceremony by the Registrars means you are not married before the ceremony, married during it, and “Just Married” for the rest of the day!

Some couples are already married when they arrive at Trevenna, and choose to have a Celebrant to conduct a celebration ceremony in front of their family and friends. Celebrants are unable to legally marry you at Trevenna. However, their ceremonies are beautiful and meaningful.
Do we have to book the Registrar/Celebrant separately?
Yes, it is a legal requirement that you contact the Registrars/Celebrants separately and ensure they are available on the date & time you have chosen.
The Registrars/Celebrants Fees are not included in the Inclusive Use Hire Fee.
What happens if we have planned for an outdoor Ceremony under the Arbour and it rains on the day?
We are lucky to have three beautiful Ceremony locations here at Trevenna, so your Wedding Ceremony will be gorgeous inside or out!
If the weather is not great on the morning of your Wedding, we will set up for the Ceremony inside and move the Ceremony outside if the weather improves. We are always happy to run out with chairs until the last moment!
However, the final decision rests with the Registrars who are under a legal duty to protect the Register itself as a unique and historical document. The Registrars arrive at Trevenna around 30 mins before the Ceremony at which time they will confirm where we will hold the Ceremony.
Who controls the music for the Ceremony?
If you have provided your own music for the Ceremony, your Wedding Host will test your music during the morning before the Ceremony to ensure everything is playing correctly.
Please note, we kindly request for all music to be downloaded as we are unable rely on wi-fi for streaming.
The Registrars conduct the ceremony.
The Hosting Team take our cues from the Registrars as to when to start the ‘Entrance of the Bride/Groom’ music, ‘Signing the Register’ music and ‘Exit’ music.
If you wish, your Wedding Host can be on hand to help with the timing of the aisle walk for the most impact and ‘ah’s!’
What happens if we have our Ceremony in the Garden Venue, where we will also be having the Wedding Feast?
The tables will still be laid ready for you to decorate on your Welcome Day.
Your Wedding Host will then check the table plan and move the tables behind drapes that elegantly hang from the Apex of the Garden Venue to the floor appearing as a complete wall.
The drapes create a neutral space for your Ceremony, whilst discreetly hiding your Wedding Feast tables. The Ceremony chairs will be set out for your Ceremony.
After the Ceremony while you are enjoying Celebration Drinks and Canapés in the Gardens and Threshing Bar with your guests, the drapes will be lifted and the tables moved back ready for your delicious Wedding Feast!

All our delicious food is freshly prepared at Trevenna in our Farm Kitchen, using locally sourced produce. There are no set menus just lots of ideas to get your taste buds going!
What food and drink are included in the Inclusive Hire Tariff?
Trevenna operates on exclusive use, where guests staying at Trevenna enjoy meals served in the Farm House on the Arrival Day, the morning before and the morning after the wedding.

Can we invite non-resident Guests to the Welcome Dinner?
The Welcome Dinner is the perfect opportunity to kick start the celebrations with your 40 resident guests.
Additional guests staying off-site are from £15 per person.
We would normally recommend a maximum of 55 people for the Welcome Dinner to ensure there is plenty of room in the Farm House for everybody to mingle and enjoy!
Can you accommodate special dietary requirements?
Of course! Our chefs will provide amended versions of your selected dishes or delicious alternatives for any Guests with dietary requirements – we want to make sure all of your Guest are well fed!
Can you provide a Children’s Menu?
Yes, we can either provide reduced-sized portions of your main selections for your Wedding Feast for your younger Guests or we have a Children’s Menu that you can choose one dish for each course.
We have 8 high chairs for use during your Welcome Dinner, Breakfasts and Wedding Feast.
Do you accept cards at the Bars?
Yes, we have card payment facilities.
If you would like to provide a pre-paid Bar tab, we can manage this for you.
Do you charge corkage?
We have a fantastic selection of local draft Ales, Lagers, Ciders, Premium spirits, Wines, Champagne and Cocktails at Trevenna.
Our new Wine List focuses on organic, sustainable and zero carbon vineyards. We love to stock local Spirits, Ales, Lagers and Ciders at Trevenna.
Bringing alcohol into Trevenna is not encouraged. However, if you decided to provide your own wine or sparkling for your Wedding Feast, corkage rates would apply.
What is the Food Festival?
The best way to taste and experience Trevenna before your celebrations is to come to one of our Food Festival events held in February and November.
Enjoy a selection of Canapés, Starters and Desserts and select main dishes to try.
Our wine specialist is on hand for Wine Tasting and to advise on Wine Pairings for your bespoke Menu.
Our Food Festival events provide a chance to meet our team and some of our suppliers.
Food Festival are charged at a special rate of £30 per couple.
Can you make our Wedding Cake?
Yes, we have a wonderful in-house bakery team who would be delighted to make your Wedding Cake!
ENTERTAINMENT AND SUPPLIERS
We love to see how couples create their own wedding styles and celebrations at Trevenna.
Can we bring in our own suppliers?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your chosen Suppliers to Trevenna.
We require a copy of Public Liability Insurance Certificates and PAT Certificates for any external Suppliers.
Does Trevenna have a list of recommend Suppliers?
We also have a list of highly recommended local suppliers that we would be happy to share with you.
We kindly request that any additional lighting is organised through our dedicated lighting supplier, Alex Darling of Lightup Weddings. Trevenna Barns are very old, and he knows them best!
All optional extra lighting must be agreed & booked direct with Alex Darling as an external supplier.

Can we play our own music?
Of course! We kindly request that your music is downloaded on a Phone or iPod, so we don’t have to rely on wi-fi.
It is helpful if your music is provided as playlists e.g., Bridal Entrance, Signing the Register, Ceremony Exit, Wedding Feast to make sure everything is played as and when you wish.
Our Hosting Team will be on hand to organise playing your music for you.
Can we have music at the Ceremony?
Yes, please bring downloaded music we can play through our speakers during the Ceremony either inside our outside.
Please note, Trevenna does not have an outside music licence and is therefore unable to have live amplified music performed outside for the Ceremony or Celebration Drinks & Canapés. Alternatively, recorded music through our speaker works well during the Celebration Drinks & Canapés.
What time can we play music until?
Live music can be played in the Threshing Barn until 11pm and a DJ until Midnight!
However, after Midnight we provide you with a sound system to play your own music in the Threshing Barn to continue the celebrations with your resident Guests.
Do you provide microphones for speeches?
Yes, we have two wireless microphones available for you to use.
Can my photographer come to Trevenna before the wedding to look around?

What is ‘Just Bring the Dress’?
‘Just Bring the Dress’ is a special offer for last-minute dates. You bring the wedding dress – the flowers, photographer and cake are sorted!
The offer includes exclusive use of Trevenna for 2 Nights, Wedding Catering & Accommodation for 40 resident Guests, Wedding Cake by Trevenna Bakery, Wedding Flowers by Escential Blooms and Wedding Photography by Laura Buffery.

How can we secure a date at Trevenna?
We guide you through each step along the way to securing your wedding at Trevenna.
We welcome you to Trevenna for a viewing so you can get a better idea of Trevenna, and for us to hear and chat through your wedding plans and ideas.
During your viewing at Trevenna, your Host will complete a Budget Planner to provide an indicative quote for your Booking at Trevenna.
When you are ready to proceed with your booking, we discuss available dates and find a date that suits you. We will then “pencil you in” for this date. We do not take any payment to pencil a date. However, we only pencil in dates when you are confident you wish to proceed with a Trevenna wedding.
We normally hold pencilled dates for around 1 week while confirm & book a ceremony with the Registrars/Celebrant.

Confirmation Booking Form
Following your confirmation that the Registrars/Celebrant/Church is confirmed, we will email you a Booking Confirmation Email and a Booking Confirmation Form to complete & sign and return to Trevenna.
A non-refundable 30% Deposit of the Inclusive Hire Tariff is required to confirm your booking at Trevenna.
On confirmation of your wedding booking, we send out our Wedding Guides for useful tips for planning your wedding stay.

What are the Payment Dates?
There are three key payments to secure your Booking;
- Non-returnable Deposit – 30% of the Exclusive Use Hire Fee. The Non-returnable Deposit is due at the time of the booking to secure the dates.
- Remainder Balance – 70% of the Exclusive Use Hire Fee. The Remainder Balance is due 8 weeks before the Arrival Date.
- Final Balance – Calculated on the number of additional guests & add-ons. The Final Balance is due 4 weeks before the Arrival Date.
Please note, a Cautionary Deposit of £1,500 is required to be paid in clear fund between 2 weeks to 2 days before the Arrival Date.
