As the world faces Covid-19, we wanted to share an update on how we are responding to the current UK Government restrictions and to offer our existing and prospective Couples some guidance on how to move forward with wedding plans.
Firstly, we extend our thoughts and appreciation to every key worker who is caring for all at this time.
We thank everyone connected with Trevenna for their understanding and patience.
Despite these uncertain times, we want to assure you that the people of Trevenna will always be here to support our couples as best as we can.
The gardens at Trevenna are blooming and the grass is being cut. We all look forward to doing what we love at Trevenna soon, making our guests feel welcome and hosting weddings our couples love, forever.
From the 4th July 2020;
Wedding Ceremonies can go ahead
The government has announced that wedding ceremonies will be allowed to take place from 4th July 2020, with a maximum of 30 people in attendance as below;
From 4 July, weddings and civil partnerships will be allowed to take place. You should only invite close friends and family, up to a maximum of 30 people. The wedding exception is for wedding ceremonies only. Large wedding receptions or parties should of course not be taking place. Wedding celebrations can only happen when people follow the guidance of six people outdoors, support bubbles, or two households indoors or outdoors. It is critical for these guidelines to be observed to keep you and your family and friends as safe as possible. (Source: Gov UK)
Pre- & Post-Ceremony Celebrations will need to adhere to social gathering rules
Guests can only gather for ceremonies. Any form of pre- or post-ceremony celebration will fall into the category of social gatherings and social distancing measures will apply. This will be limited to groups of up to two households (indoors or outdoors) following social distancing guidelines for anyone not in their household. Groups of up to 6 people from different households will be able to meet outdoors, provided they socially distance. (View more here)
Wedding Celebrations Guidance to follow
The Government has released guidance for small marriages and civil partnerships. This guidance remains under review and may be updated in line with the changing situation. View the Guidance here.
The Association of British Wedding Businesses (ABWB) is currently working with the government to develop specific guidance for wedding celebrations. We are hopeful that this new guidance will be available in the next few weeks to advise on what Covid-19 measures will need to be implemented at Trevenna.
We are so looking forward to hosting weddings at Trevenna again, we all long for the joy and celebration. We will take the time to adapt to these new guidelines and develop measures that are safe, responsible and reassuring, to give you the hope and joy of being able to look forward to your wedding.
