Bluebell Woods

Middle of May

Under a collection of ancient beech trees known as the “Rookery” on the side of the hill beneath the back of the Farm House, a carpet of Bluebells flower during the middle of May.

Dabbled light comes through the Beech leaves highlighting patches of bluebells.

Carpet of Bluebells

The Bluebells form a thick carpet of green & blue surrounding the trunks of the trees.

The carpet of Bluebells can be seen in the picture below, creeping out from beneath the trees into the Orchard.

Pink Campions

On the outer edges of the Rookery where more light reaches the ground, a few pink campions rise above the shorter bluebells.

The Bluebell carpet under the Rookery Beech trees creates a wonderful quiet location for wedding photos in the middle of May.
